| | Mission AccomplishedFebruary 20, 2012 - United WayBy Andrea Thompson, Executive Director The days leading up the second annual Live United Telethon were a bit chaotic to say the least. But somehow it all came together and was a huge success! We set a telethon goal of $25,000 and a campaign goal of $160,000. We can proudly say that we have now met and slightly exceeded both of those goals. The Live United Telethon raised a phenomenal $30,000 this year! With the help of all of our sponsors, volunteers, partner agencies, phone bank volunteers, local celebrities, jailbirds and donors, we were able to achieve what we set out to do! Many things happen during the day of the event. It is twelve hours of non stop action. We are so thankful for all of the help and support we get from local businesses and individuals to make this event successful. I would like to take this time to thank everyone who participated and donated to the United Way of Randolph County. I am looking forward to next year’s event! Did anyone watch the event on either WETV or through WDNE.com’s live web stream? I would love to hear your feedback on the event from an audience perspective.
