Brown Receives Wesleyan ‘Senior Key Award’
Meredith Brown of Belington recently received the “Senior Key Award” at West Virginia wesleyan College. The award is presented to a select group of seniors who demonstrate excellence in the classroom and leadership in a variety of co-curricular activities.
Brown is pursuing a major in nursing and a minor in human biology. She has served as president of the sophomore class, secretary of the junior class and senior nursing class representative. The Bonner Scholar has also been named to the dean’s list several semesters at Wesleyan and received the junior Nursing Class Clinical Award in 2007. The Philip-Barbour High School graduate is also a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, Psi Chi honorary, Beta Beta beta honorary and Student Nurses of Wesleyan. She is the daughter of Renee Brown.
Lomparski Arrives at Miesau Depot
Army Sgt. Paul M. Lomparski has arrived for duty at the Miesau Ammunition Depot, Germany.
Lomparski, a mental health supervisor, is assigned to the 254th Medical Detachment. The sergeant has served in the military for two years.
WVMA Helping the Hungry with Benefit
The West Virginia Muzzleloaders Association will host a benefit muzzleloader shoot near Beverly on?Saturday to benefit the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources’ Hunters Helping the Hungry (HHH) Program, according to WVMA President Stan Reed.
