Senate Candidates Respond to Questionnaires
The Inter-Mountain posed the following questions to candidates for the 11th Senatorial District.
Question 1: How much do you think the state should rely on gaming revenues?
Question 2: What is your stance on wind energy or other forms of alternative energy sources and what types of legislation would you propose to regulate them?
Question 3: What types of ATV regulations would you propose and how would you ensure they are being enforced?
Question 1: The revenues from gaming in the state provide much-needed resources that offer funding for numerous projects that would otherwise go unfunded, although it is unfortunate that the illicit activities that accompany the gaming industry have a negative impact on our children and families. However, we must continue to strive to find other avenues in order to provide revenues for our state without corruption and violence.
Senate Candidates Respond to Questionnaires
Question 1: Due to the earlier expansion of the gaming industry, the state of West Virginia is already dependant upon gambling revenues for the operation of many programs in state government.
