Walker Seeks Seat on Supreme Court of Appeals

February 2, 2008

Charleston lawyer Beth Walker has filed for a seat on the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals.

“A fair and impartial court system is vital to the future of every West Virginia family,” Walker said. “I am seeking the support of all West Virginians who agree with me that the Supreme Court should act in its intended role as an independent branch of government deciding cases based on the constitution, established law and precedent. Our courts should not be an impediment to prosperity and opportunity in our state.”

Walker, 42, a partner with the law firm of Bowles, Rice, McDavid, Graff and Love, has practiced primarily employment law since 1990. Her practice has included handling cases for clients throughout West Virginia. She has been named to Best Lawyers in America, published by Woodyard/White, and is listed in the Chamber’s USA America’s Leading Lawyers for Business.
