Cutting state budget easier said than done

If the governor is looking for someone to step up to the plate and willingly take cuts, he's barking up the wrong tree. Like it or not, cuts must be made, and no matter how unpopular they may be, he must stand his ground and follow through with them. His backing away proves one thing, he's more interested in getting reelected than doing what's necessary to keep West Virginia out of financial trouble.

That is the problem with America today, no politicians with the backbone to make the tough decisions. They buckle at the 1st sign of opposition. I came from a poor family where there was no government help, and not a single one of us starved to death. We may not have had what some others we knew had, but we always had clothes, food on the table and a warm bed to sleep in, and that's all any of us need. Your kids won't die without their cell phones, game consoles or big screen TV's. In fact, you may find you've raised more well rounded kids without them. We never died without them.
