We have the same problem in Upshur County. They have been assigning names to roads that are on the opposite end of the county, further confusing the situation. For instance, I was told that Indian Camp Ridge was now Salem Ridge. Most of the people in the county are familiar with both names, but now one of them ended up on the other end of the county. They even named one road "Pinchbelly Drive", which if you look up in the old English dictionary, "Pinchbelly" in the old English means "prostitute." As you can imagine, many of the people who lived on this road took offense with the name and demanded they change it.
There's no reason to how they set the names of the road. For at least 20 years, the people of Upshur County have paid via their phone bill for enhanced 911, and didn't have it. I think the county owes the citizens a refund, and now they raised the fee again. If they're going to force you to pay for a service, shouldn't you get it?
