Following Europe into scary territory

May 25, 2013

Editor: If you know the history of Israel in the Old Testament you know that in the later years Israel was divided. Ten tribes carried the name Israel; the other two tribes carried the name Judah....

What's confused again. There's nothing 'moral' about gayness; and nothing moral about child molesters. BOTH an ABOMINATION, according to GOD. You disagree with God at your own risk!

Woah, chill out a bit RealAmerican. You can disagree with someone without being hateful about it. Also, let's not profile. Not all Christians don't believe in science, evolution, or equality, and not all atheists/agnostics do. For example, I have a great deal of scientific knowledge and am for equality, and I am a Christian. By profiling and stereotyping, you're being no better than the people you're complaining about.

I guess i forgot that arguing with someone who doesn't believe in science, evolution, or equality, and still believes in fairytales told by ancient man to try and explain his origins, his surroundings, and the natural world, before we had mathmatics, physics, biology, and geology to explain them is futile at best, sorry, i'll try and dumb down my comments to your (Purebull's) level. You cant run a country by a book of religion. that would make you no better than the Taliban.

The Bible: foolish rules of ancient date, designed to make you all feel great, while you fold, spindle, and mutilate, those unbelievers from a neighboring state. If you want to know why Europe has a largely progressive-secular government structure with socialistic tendencies, it's because that is what the people want from their government. they want a government that looks out for all, not just the rich, it bases it's laws on progressive ideals, not on the evil's of comsumer capitalism where everything is about profit. they have socialized medicine because they know that a healthy population is good for the country, instead of the American model, where they are totally set up to take away your life savings, your home, and all your worldly assests when you get sick or old. I say that if you want to believe in the bible, fine, that's your right, but dont try to make the whole country worship your "God".

, physiological differences).

I forgot, though, that you have an aversion to science. It's nearly unanimous among climatologists and other scientists (people that have researched and understand science, you know, people not like you) that climate change exists. Don't believe me? Read this article and check out its sources: *******en.wikipedia****/wiki/Scientific_opinion_on_climate_change

What the separation of church and state says is that we can't create laws in our country that are based on religion. As a result, a national ban on gay marriage (which clearly is not secularly wrong and in my opinion not even biblically wrong) violates the 1st amendment.

Second, how is giving gays the right to marriage a right unique to them? The right to marry is already possessed by heterosexual people. If you're saying that it's a right unique to them by saying that they're the only ones who can "same sex marry", then you would have to say that heterosexuals have rights that are special to only them, because they can "opposite sex marry". You see how ridiculous that is?

"Let them find a woman to marry." Is this a joke? Assuming you're talking about gay men (there are gay women too, btw), they're not attracted to women! It's fairly obvious, both from a scientific standpoint and a common sense standpoint, that being gay is not a choice. (Genes,

Oh, and you don't think climate change is real? How are you qualified to give your opinion on anything? Science is real, Puremagix, and you don't need to stop believing in God to understand that.

Puremagix, are you aware of what the separation of church and state is? I'm a Christian, but you have to keep in mind that our country was set up so that Biblical laws don't affect our country's laws. Even if you interpret the Bible in such a way that makes you think that homosexuality is objectively wrong, you can't base laws around that, sorry.

Also, what do all those events, especially THE CRUSADES, have to do with the evolved state of Europe now? All of the things you referenced happened in the past, and most of them were as a result of Hitler being a giant d-bag, not the state of Europe as a whole.

Oh and btw, AIDS began in Africa, not Europe.

Puremagix: Talk to someone who's actually lived in a socialist country, and they'll tell you that the US is nowhere near that. The Scandinavian countries especially have it figured out. Also, homosexuals are everywhere, and most of them are probably not going to move continents just to get to a country that's more progressive, and forward-thinking than the country they currently live in. Some states (definitely not WV) are finally starting to get it right.

Is this a joke? Obama isn't a socialist, and there's nothing wrong with Europe. Europe, you know, the place that offers healthcare to everyone, supports gay marriage, has better school systems, etc. You know, stuff that makes them far more evolved and, in general, better than we are. Cool your jets, Tex.
