- Applause to the beginning of construction on the latest section of Corridor H, a 20-mile stretch from Davis to Scherr Mountain....
« Back to Article
Build it, and they will come. Once Corridor H is finished, they will come, the drug dealers and other criminals from DC and other large cities east of the Appalachians. The drug situation in WV is at epidemic proportions now, and the completion of Corridor H will only make it worse, much worse. The fools in Buckhannon thought it would be a god send too, and all it brought was Wal-Mart and Lowes, which soon caused the loss of locally owned businesses, some that had been in operation for a hundred years.
The same individuals pressing for the completion of Corridor H, and the ones looking to make a profit from its completion. They don't care about the impact it will have on local businesses or the increased drug traffic, all they are concerned with is expanding their bank account. In short, they'll profit, and local business owners and future generations of WV children will suffer and the hands of dope dealers and criminals. Think it through people, because once it's done, it's done.

Oh, and while you're at it, think about this. West Virginia is what it is because of our isolation. Change that, and you change the things that made this state what it is. Take a long hard look at I79. It isn't safe to drive on these days because of the heavy traffic load and idiotic drivers using it. Is that what you want for Randolph County and eastern WV? That's what you'll get if it is finished, hundred of cars a day zipping through Randolph County at 70mph. Your drug situation is worse than ours, do you want more of the same? You'll get it when access to Randolph County is made easier. Be careful what you wish for. Things are not always what they seem, and the wealthy people blowing smoke up your ass know it. They'll get more wealthy, you'll suffer and they'll move away, to some other remote location where they don't have to live in the mess they created.
Most drug users/manuf and buyers are wv locals. Most if not all is made here by our kids/parents/relatives. I can see where some don't want any eyes watchin. As for me I want to see wv progress and grow. Traveling H/66 everyday, I don't see drug caravans or mules hauling dope in. It is already grown and manuf and made here by our own! Selfish people say & do selfish things! With the high tax assessments we have, we need better roads, jobs and salaries just to keep up. If the writer above (in my opinion) had his/her way, H would be shutters and barracaded. Nothing coming in or out! No mail, medicine, groceries, fuel & commute to better jobs will cease! One thing writer above is profits being made fr H. Walmart/Lowes best thing ever happened & McDonalds/Western Steer.
Personally, I don't want WV to become another stinking cesspool like New York, Chicago, New Jersey. NO CORRIDOR H COMPLETION. We don't want the crime, the outsiders who ruin everything. The criminals over past year being arrested for drugs/break ins and rapes have been ILLEGAL ALIENS and OUTSIDERS from other stinking states!! I need say no more!!

Folks, Abner is rite! Forget about drugs coming in, its already here from inside.Being made, grown by locals HERE!Progress is needed not regress! Some like to live like a hippy, beards, drugs, stoned but not me. I love the mountains, depend upon medical, law enforcement, supplys or the best. We can have all if we have good roads. Plus if you only knew the lives our roads take each year, month & week. Read the IM..constant wrecks, people killed! If drugs are being transported, believe me law enforcement know who, what where! Our problem is within!Stealing, breaking in,robbery, drug labs. Landsales,if you don't want to sale, don't sale! You are driving up the prices! If you know someone using, selling making drugs..turn them in! Wv could be a really, really nice place if we get the NaySayers educated.
