Marine recalls holiday in Vietnam

This is the eve of Thanksgiving and I just wanted to share some thoughts of a Thanksgiving day in Vietnam. I joined 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines on Hill 69 at An Ton Bridge near Chu Lai in 1966....

I would like to also mention that no one who served our nation to protect us from communism or marxism should ever believe the media reports that most Americans do not appreciate nor care about our veterans. We do. It's just that the liberal media refuses to be honest in reporting and only wants to hear from the rad-i-cals on the left who hate just about everything. They only know about hate.

Thank you for sharing your memory. Too bad this generation or most appear to not understand material things mean nothing. Especially if you are losing more freedoms. Family/friends are what's important. I am sure your time in service to our country, fighting communism brought you lifetime friendships the rest of us could never clearly understand. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your unselfish service to our country.
