Obama has left his mark

December 28, 2013

A feature of the Barack Obama era has been the preponderance of bumper stickers still hailing the President. Some you can notice are as far back as 2008 vintag....

Joe doesn't know that under President Bush in eight years, we added $4.9 trillion to the debt, which brought it to $10.6 trillion. Under Obama added $5.3 trillion to the national debt in the 3 1/2 years of office. The national Debt now stands at $17.232 trillion. You do the math genius. By the time this idiot leaves office, he will have doubled it. Bush's debt increase totaled $4.9 trillion. Obama's portion of the debt already stands at $6.632 trillion and growing by $3.7 billion dollars a day, and he doesn't have a full blown war to contend with. Joe apparently doesn't mind that this idiot is bankrupting this country. It's obvious he doesn't realize who the culprit is.

Tell me Joe, who's the winner when our country sits broke and dying like Greece or a half dozen other countries around the world? If I was a Democrat, I sure as heck wouldn't want to claim a victory over that. Joe is a prime example of the Democratic mentality. We won, but it took destroying the country to do it.

h, by the way Joe, the one's who are finished are your children, and the generations after them. They'll never get out of debt, but you can take pride in knowing you did your part to put them there. How's that Democratic mentality working for you now? Maybe you can explain it to your children, and explain how you won at the sacrifice of your country. I'll bet they will be really impressed at your wisdom and insight. Let's see you worm your way out of that one by blaming Bush. What a fool.

LOL. Yeah Pure....it's funny how the DNC is sending out emails to everyone telling them that Obama could be impeached if dems lose election next time. Bwahahahaha......yep; they see the writing on the wall. Of course, they might not be capable of "reading" the writing on the wall, just like they were too dumb to 'read' the Obamacare taxation bill. The dumb on the left just getting dumber. Hilarious side show though. They're funnier than all the real comedians combined!

President Obama’s pollster is resolving to try and get reporters to avoid citing polling data leading up to the 2014 election...

There's his "mark." The "mark" of a total and complete screwed-up administration! Wonder if the DNC will give him an award for this giant screw-up??? LOL. Obama Presidency: The "Mark" of Ignorance.

For those of you who continue to beat the impeachment drum, are you aware of the presidential line of succession? If, for any reason, the President of the United States does not complete his term of office, the Vice President is next in line. In this case, it is Joe Biden.

The Speaker of the House follows the Vice President in the line of succession and that would be John Boehner at this time.

So, for you to see a republican in the Oval Office, President Obama would have to be impeached and VP Biden would not complete his term in office as President.

I realize that you people live in a world of fantasy and rarely if ever understand how our government works...but, this is the way it is and if you don't believe it...read the Constitution.

"pecking order"...really? That's how you view one of the most clearly defined Articles of the Constitution?

No matter. President Obama easily won re-election and continues to have positive job approval ratings (despite what the right wing media reports). ACA has been law since 2010 and the majority of provisions go into effect this year. The 2014 mid-terms will see the return of the democratic majority to the House, not because of the impotent threat of impeachment, but because the American people are revolted by the actions of the extremists in the republican party.

Do you know who Darrell Issa is, Puremagix?

Puremagix, you continue to pull FoxNoise babble out of your...hat.

President Obama won re-election the old fashioned way...he received the majority of the Electoral Votes.

On the other hand, would you care to discuss the Bush - Gore election in which G. W. Bush was handed the election by the conservative SCOTUS.

You continue to froth at the mouth over Fast and Furious and Benghazi and Darrell Issa continues to lie about his endless investigations. He has not found one single hint of Presidential inpropriety. Instead, millions of taxpayer dollars are wasted.

President Obama will complete his term in office and he will end up with what he started...a Democratic majority in both the Senate and the House. As soon as Nancy Pelosi gets the gavel back, we will see progressive legislation and a House which truly represents the American people.

And what news network were you on when you advocated for Single Payer, Puremagix? Oh, right, that was when you faced high medical costs yourself and you wanted the government to regulate health care costs.

Obamacare aka ACA is the republican plan which was formulated by the republican Heritage Foundation and contains hundreds of republian amendments. ACA replicates the health care plan signed into Massachusetts law by then-governor, Mitt Romney.

Millions of people have signed up as of this date and more will follow. ACA will become the signature accomplishment of the Obama administration and a guarantee of Democratic majorities, not only on the Federal level, but also in the States. WV is going Blue, Puremagix...get used to it.

Puremagix, ordinarily I would post a more sympathetic response to your last comments because of your wife's illness; however, I have been reading your posts for a long time and you continue to reveal your lack of both understanding and empathy. In other words, unless the experience is about YOU, you allow yourself to cling to fact-free and illogical right wing ideologies which give you permission to spout hatred and lies.

Your hatred for President Obama is sickening and yet he is the only President to have the personal and political courage to stand by health care reform and see it through Congress, SCOTUS and the opinions of American voters. ACA is not perfect but it is what could be accomplished with the obstruction of the GOP combined with the massive lobbying of the insurance industry.

President Obama committed himself to reforming health care because of his own experience with his dying mother's last year spent fighting the insurance company.

What's the matter, Puremagix? Your bid for sympathy from me didn't work. Why don't you spend more time learning about cause and effect rather than trying to twist reality to fit your small minded ideology. This is just one reason health care costs are so high:

Wiki excerpt: The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA)[1] is an act of the United States Congress, passed in 1986 as part of the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA). It requires hospitals to provide emergency health care treatment to anyone needing it regardless of citizenship, legal status, or ability to pay. There are no reimbursement provisions. Participating hospitals may not transfer or discharge patients needing emergency treatment except with the informed consent or stabilization of the patient or when their condition requires transfer to a hospital better equipped to administer the treatment.[1] continued...

I'm going to disregard most of your commentary, Puremagix, and explain EMTALA to you and to those who actually want more information. EMTALA was signed into law in 1986 by republican President, Ronald Reagan. EMTALA is another example of republican "trickle down" economy. EMTALA represents what is called an "unfunded mandate" which means that hospitals are not subsidized by the government which mandates that the hospitals treat any and all who avail themselves of treatment in the Emergency Room.

Hospitals must recoup their losses and increase the cost of health care which in turn forces the insurance companies to increase premiums and deductibles. This is republican voodoo economy and we are all paying for it. ACA intends to increase the number of people who do have insurance which will, in turn, reduce the number of uninsured people who take advantage of the EMTALA law and use Emergency Rooms as their primary care facilities.

Puremagix, you spend so much time and energy twisting and turning facts around to fit your irrational ideology. EMTALA was signed into law in 1986 by republican President Ronald Reagan. EMTALA is an unfunded mandate which has created a problem which did not exist before the law was enacted by...republicans.

That is the point.

You continue to state that you owned a business for thirty years and yet you do not know the difference between Payroll Taxes and federal income tax.

Pretty much like a dog marks a fire hydrant, except urine is not corrupt (Fast and Furious, refusing to send security or help or even tell the truth about Benghazi, pardoning the WTC Blind Sheikh lawyer early) or corrosive (like all of these massive deficits, and unconstitutional actions such as ignoring immigration law, Defense of Marriage Act, homosexual 'marriage', and the Orwellian 'Affordable Care Act' aka Obamacare) not to mention using the organs of Government to suppress political opposition (IRS, NSA).

Obama is the snake in the Garden of America, and the big divide in this country is between those who follow God and those blinded by sin who want to believe the snake.

Puremagix, as usual, your comment attempts to divert from the facts. In this case I pointed out that it was the republican President, Ronald Reagan, who signed EMTALA into law. Like so many of you so-called "conservatives", you attribute not only your own shortcomings but also your lack of knowledge to the people you have been conditioned to hate and distrust, i.e., liberals, Democrats, progressives, et al.

I have a professional background in employee benefits and understand ACA as well as any person willing to spend a little time on the issue. I also advocate for single payer/universal health care coverage.

The republicans created a problem with EMTALA in 1986...one which is now being partially addressed by ACA. You clearly never think about consequences and have no understanding of cause and effect.

Again, you divert. You do not know the difference between Payroll Taxes and federal income taxes.

Again, diverting from facts and your own comments, Puremagix. In fact YOU do advocate for government control, (your comment, this thread), "...I have always advocated some kinds of controls on healthcare cost..." And your reference to the Sahara Desert is NOT a fact.

You spend so much time trying to twist facts into your illogical ideology that it is no wonder you never learn or know anything beyond what you want to believe.

You are a republican and yet do not know anything about how your taxes are collected or where they go. You don't know the difference between Payroll Taxes and federal income taxes.

You have complained about the level of care your wife is receiving and yet you continue to quote the mythical "Canadian hunter" who you claim says Canadian health care is so poor. Your wife is receiving the level of care she is by for-profit hospitals. Do you ever listen to what you say or read what you have written?

Please, Puremagix, spare us your histrionic gibberish.

No, you do NOT know the difference between Payroll Taxes and federal income tax. If you'd like, I can excerpt your posts from the IM Archives...yes, I know how to do that. You accuse the working poor of not paying their fair share when in fact they pay the same percentage on their wages for Payroll Taxes that you do.

You clearly did not understand the implications of EMTALA aka the republican "Free Rider" legislation. Nor have you grasped the concept that ACA provisions provide health care insurance for millions of previously uninsured people. I realize that you so-called "conservatives" cannot think in a straight line, but when people have health care insurance, they do not need to "Free Ride" in the Emergency Rooms across the country. And yes, Puremagix, when you do not pay for health care services for whatever reason, it is "free".

Nellie, you really are blind. Your Comment, And yes, Puremagix, when you do not pay for health care services for whatever reason, it is "free". Nothing is free, someone always pays for it through higher taxes. Are you so stupid that you can't understand that the government has no money of their own. All they have is taxpayer money, and when they hand out free healthcare, the taxpayers are footing the bill. Is that above your understanding? Are you naive enough to think the government has a money tree. Where exactly do you thing the government gets their money to hand out entitlements, grants and pay medical bills created by free medical treatment for illegals or welfare recipients? You are the one who obviously doesn't understand how the government works. It's really simple. They create bills, and we pay them. You will soon see just how expensive Obama's healthcare debacle really is. Then you'll get it when your disposable income shrinks by several hundred bucks.

TruthSeeker, I realize you are struggling with all the information in this particular thread and that you attempt to be relevant here and on other topics, but do yourself a favor and try to learn something. Your babbling is annoying and childish. You don't have a clue about national politics or issues which effect your life and it appears that you don't even know what elected office Shelley Capito holds at this time.

Stop embarrassing yourself and try to learn something.

As the American people continue to embrace evil, our once great nation, now financially and morally bankrupt, circles the bowl. The vile, wicked resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue has every reason to rejoice in our downfall, which WE BROUGHT UPON OURSELVES! Don't kid yourself for a minute and think this will end well.

It's just never too late to Go Godwin is it, Puremagix.

As with all other issues, you appear to know nothing about Hitler's Germany from 1933-1945. Nazi Germany was a fascist totalitarian state in which liberals were treated as threats to the state. Neo-Nazis here in the United States are right wing extremists whose dysfunctional ideology is very close to your own.

You've been losing credibility rapidly on this thread and Going Godwin completely disqualifies anything else you might want to post...here and elsewhere.
