PM's equating being gay to being a pedophile, Satan worshipper, murderer, rapist, and anti-Semite reveals that, far from being a respecter of the constitution of the United States, he is willing to interpret the laws to suit his own moral code. It's a little like saying "I am for states rights - except for California, Florida, and PA, because they're filled with liberals, old people, and Amish. PM, you are certainly entitled to your opinion, but the fact remains that being gay is not a crime or sin, and even Satan worship (or worse yet, snake handling or listening to AFR) all are protected under the constitution of the US. It may not fit your personal moral code, but we are not the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Our constitution protects and everyone, not just the PureMagix Morality League of central West Virginia.

Oh just wait a while Pure....they'll be back on here whining about the high rent they have to pay. lol. Funny how liberals always vote for things that hurt themselves. Then complain & blame someone else for their own stupidity. That's what makes me laugh at them. Almost feel sorry for them. Almost!

OK, TS, why don't you be specific, "...Funny how liberals always vote for things that hurt themselves. Then complain & blame someone else for their own stupidity..."

What are you referring to specifically?

Like Puremagix, you parrot right wing gibberish and when you're challenged, you cannot provide facts.

You could, instead, continue to focus on your "spacing" errors. You know, the trivia that you people obsess over.

How do you feel about President Obama's preferring mustard on his burgers?

Puremagix, you are so conflicted that you cannot keep track of your own comments. In this case, it is one right after the other...

3:24 p.m.: "...All of them are immoral people. I never said if you're one, you're the other, but sometimes it works out that way, especially when rapist and pedophiles want to hide their tracks, they will often kill their victims..."

3:28 p.m.: "...No one in their right mind would support gays, lesbians, pedophiles, murderers, rapist and every other lowlife on the planet..."

Now, do us all a favor and turn off your computer. Take your meds and clean the spittle off your keyboard.

You are completely irrational. Just because you do not like the FACTS, you cannot invent fantasies to replace them. Republicans who you don't agree with are NOT DNC plants, no matter how badly their records conflict with your idea of "conservative".

I like the way Nellie started copying everything we say. I guess we can call it a compliment; except Nellie still doesn't get the 'real issues.' Pretty much stays in a state of constant confusion. Get a life Nellie....attempting to 'bully' those you don't like? We're not interested in your weak-minded liberal childish games. Go play your x-box before mommy calls you to supper.

TruthSeeker, do you believe that posting nonsense will prevent readers from scrolling down the thread to read the posts which challenge you and Puremagix? You are projecting your own laziness and inability to read and comprehend on to others who actually do understand the issues and can make informed comments.

I've asked you several direct questions which you refuse to answer because you don't know the answers and you are too lazy to Google for the information. For example, what elected office does Ms. Capito hold at the present time?

I've also provided you with the names of the two Democratic Presidents who were responsible for signing Social Security and Medicare into law. What are their names?

Can't answer? Ok, then continue to whine about being bullied.

Puremagix, is that mythical town in Ohio the same one where you met with the mythical Canadian hunter who hates Canadian health care?

I've got an idea. Rather than making stuff up, why don't you provide FACTS which support your claims.

And, you continue to link homosexuality with criminal behavior. Let me remind you that many republican politicians advocate for same-sex marriage and support family members who are gay and lesbian. Former VP Dick Cheney is one of those politicians who support gay and lesbian rights.

Excerpt from HUD website: The Fair Housing Laws: Fair Housing Act Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 (Fair Housing Act), as amended, prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of dwellings, and in other housing-related transactions, based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status (including children under the age of 18 living with parents or legal custodians, pregnant women, and people securing custody of children under the age of 18), and disability.

Puremagix, for those mythical landlords in the mythical town of Ohio which you will not name, Federal law does not prohibit landlords from denying felons rental property. Unless there is a city statute or one which exists in the specific States, a landlord can make a background check and if a criminal record is revealed, can deny the potential renter based on that information. Credit and background checks are legal.

What "garbled crap", Puremagix? You quote mythical Canadian hunters and admire mythical landlords in Ohio.

You live in a world where you just make stuff up, refuse to accept FACTS and delude yourself into thinking that "conservatives" are going to win elections. Suffice to say, you still believe that Sarah Palin is a viable candidate...possibly for President when Congress impeaches President Obama. You claim to know the "pecking order" but you can still pretend that the Constitution only has two Amendments.

The Electoral Map will change significantly, Puremagix, and states like Texas will be turning Blue as voters finally kick out the right wing extremists who have infiltrated public office.

I know you believe that your comments are somehow relevant to political discussion, but you should be embarrassed to be so uninformed. You also appear to suffer from Attention Deficit Disorder along with the inability to comprehend what you read.

I'll ask you again...what office does Ms. Capito hold at this time.

Puremagix, you are delusional. You are, in no way, more informed, intelligent or moral than I. I realize that you feel "safe" on the IM discussion board because of its right-wing bias; however, it's also clear that there are many people who read the comments and recognize you for what you are.

You think that your attempts at folksy proclamations and quotes from old timers are "facts". They are not. You believe that by quoting un-named sources your opinion has more credibility. It does not.

You cannot discuss political issues because you believe lies and even when you are given facts, you ignore them and believe what you want to believe.

You "respect" neo-Nazis and believe that God is talking directly to you. In any other culture, you would be receiving mental health care but in today's society, you are a republican.

Do you ever listen to yourself or read what you have written, Puremagix?

You ignore facts and truth and when you are challenged, you resort to infantile personal attacks and threats.

You have an inflated opinion of yourself based on your sanctimonious beliefs. You believe that God talks directly to you. Clearly, you do enjoy the company of imaginary friends and live your life in a pretend world where Sarah Palin is President and everyone who doesn't agree with your fantasies magically disappears.

You are delusional, Puremagix, and your comments reveal a person so conflicted and confused that medical attention is indicated.

TS, you are actually looking for a constitutional clause that explicitly advocates immoral living? Let's also look for a clause that explicitly advocates rampant capitalism. It's a constitution, not the Talmud. And what measure do you use for what is and is not moral? The Bible? Then yes, capitalism is immoral. Thomas Jefferson owned slaves, even as he penned the words to the declaration of independence. Would you approve of his morals? Can you begin to see where your bigoted opinions, pseudo-religion, political fanaticism, and general ignorance of democracy all run together to make one slow-running indistinct mass of pea soup? I'm not trying to be blindly insulting here - I really do believe you think you are clear-minded and cogent (or as I have said earlier, just playing with people on this board) - If it is the former, I invite you to begin searching for your facts in responsible places. No really. I mean it.

Walker, you nailed it in both comments. Those on the Right glorify ignorance and are too lazy to correct their Fantasy Founders Fictions. Remember Sarah Palin's version of the Ride of Paul Revere? Wikipedia was slammed with "editors" making changes to conform to her version. So it goes.

I've been posting on this forum for a long time and Puremagix is a fixture. The IM is a right-wing rag with little or no journalistic integrity; however, it is what we have and I post here to balance out the lies and misinformation. I confess to enjoying some goadage of my own...

Thanks for this: "..Can you begin to see where your bigoted opinions, pseudo-religion, political fanaticism, and general ignorance of democracy all run together to make one slow-running indistinct mass of pea soup?"

Well, I confess also to having a little fun with the "beer-swilling red neck thing" but the truth is, the IM has been a far right-wing rag for as long as I have been alive. I am old enough to remember the Randolph Enterprise (a weekly) - and after it folded, there was really nothing else to read after the paper stand on 3rd closed its doors.

It is apt to become worse - the news of the recent court ruling striking down Net Neutrality, which will result in the Internet content, speed, and access being controlled by the telecoms - in other words - to whomever is willing to pay the most for the fast lane on the info superhighway. It's sad, because it was the last democratizing force for free speech we had. Very soon those with $$ will own the front page, access, and the narrative on the Internet. We have fallen far from the days of public airwaves serving the common good. When Public TV and radio disappear, we will be a nation of dullards, getting the gvt. we deserve.

Attributed to Daniel Patrick Moynihan and apropos of the IM threads, "You’re entitled to your own opinions. You’re not entitled to your own facts."

This country's media has been under constant assault since the beginning. I am not as pessimistic about the Net Neutrality ruling as you are.

The right-wing media is a monster which threatens to consume its audience and the politicians who work for it. It's the tail wagging the dog. Roger Ailes has been the architect of the cable network propaganda machine which controls the message of the republican party and manages the TeaParty chaos.

FoxNoise launched in 1986, one year after Rupert Murdoch was granted US citizenship and I believe we can track the downward spiral from that time.

I predict that this time next year, FoxNoise will have convinced its audience that ACA is the best idea the republican party ever had.
