February 13, 2014

Many states have regulations intended to prevent chemical spills such as the one that affected drinking water for about 300,000 West Virginians last month....

enough votes to pass it but 28 democrats voted against it also. I guess both parties who voted against it did not want to lose their 'big corporate donors' come election time! Lobbying should be OUTLAWED ASAP! Both parties are being bought and do not care about the health of our people.

Over 50 nations have laws forcing labeling on food products that are Genetically modified. They must use GM on top of packages. ALL of Europe requires it. But not USA.

To be perfectly honest the more I find out, the more I am convinced it will do not one bit of good anymore to vote in this country. You see there’s no difference between the crooks anymore. Whether democrat, Independent or Republican…appears they can all be purchased for ‘campaign donations.’ The largest one WINS! Anyone surprised by all this? I mean we have a govt leadership telling citizens we are not healthy and it's OUR fault, while govt ignores it's job duties and fails us with incidences like this. Then we hear stories about all the pesticides, chemicals going into our food such as Subway using 'azodicarbonamide' in their bread. Well, I checked Heiners bread today in my they're using it to. Going back to using unbromated, unbleached flour and making my own bread again. One cannot trust govt officials/FDA OR big corporations to keep us safe. It's up to you and me.

In 2012, we had an amendment bill up for making companies state if a food was genetically modified or not. Only 1 Republican voted for it; Lisa Murkowski of Alaska. I have major issues with her views/opinions of most things; this was not one of those things. I congratulate her for doing the right thing for the people. That being said, it doesn't get dems off the hook. They had control of the senate; enough votes

Incredible as it may seem more than a month after the chemical spill, West Virginians still have not been told what regulations, if any, were in place to prevent such accidents - or why, if rules were already on the books, they were not enforced.

EPA and other govt officials slammed coal mine inspectors and owners for not following through after Sago disaster...NOW it's the govt failing to do it's own job and they don't want to talk about it.

There's that democrat double-standard thingy again.
