March 13, 2014

This year’s Legislative session is now complete. Depending on one’s perspective it could have been either inconsequential or mildly successfu....

I notice when a TRUTH comes to light on the democrats' bad decisions/behaviors....the democrat supporters in here "AVOID" that particular article like the plague. LOLOL. Truth stops them in their tracks. They can't 'defend' what they did here, therefore they bury their heads like ostrich's in the sand.

Call it what it really is---BRIBES! And they know it. Giving it a different name doesn't change what it truly is.

Mr. Barnes did right by NOT voting for this. Too bad some others did not do the same. It would have shown us that they don't want to WASTE our tax dollars giving them to the already wealthy while at same time Gov. Tomblin CUTS grants for family resources/domestic violence programs.

Democrats 'priorities' seem to be screwed up. And who said Democrats hate CORPORATIONS?????? What a LIE! They don't mind corporate welfare; they give our tax dollars away to rich corporate elites all the time.

This is typical of the "good ol' boy" system of sneaking legislation through for friends and family on the last day.

NOT surprised the democrats did this. It's common knowledge how they 'help' their friends/family with OUR tax dollars!

Look how many of Manchins families have jobs in govt since he took office! And look at how many family members will LOSE their jobs when we FIRE Manchin!

My advice to Mr. Barnes would be to ban all lobbyist from the legislature. They leave a bad taste in my mouth inasmuch as the buy politicians with all sorts of gratuities & favors, and yes, money, even if it's under the table. Any politician who can be bought by lobbyist doesn't need to be in our government, state or otherwise.

They are the main reason our elected officials are reluctant to punish pharmaceutical companies, and others, for damages to the public when their products go awry, and they often do. Any elected official who gives audience to lobbyists in my words, are inherently dishonest, given the nature of their business, which is influencing legislators, or bribery if you like, which is basically what it is. When they get special favors through gifts, sports tickets, and other amenities, what else can you call it? It needs to stop.
