The annual reunion of the descendents of Charles and Charlotte Richman Auvil was held at the Kasson School on Sept. 9 with approximately 34 family and friends attending.

After the blessing, a covered dish dinner was served and entertainment was provided by Tina Strahn, a singer with the Crossroads gospel group.

Dianna Cline gave the financial report, which was made available to all. Danielle Rush conducted the silent auction and distributed the door prizes. The child door prize was won by Lauren Edge and the adult door prizes by Gerald Cline and Matt Edge. Those recognized were oldest man, Arthur “Shady” Marsh; oldest women, Mae Isner and Thelma Spear; youngest child, Lauren Edge; person traveling the farthest, John and Freda Norris, Jack and Lois Adams and Denzil and Sue Westfall; married the longest, Arthur and Rose Marsh; and most recently married, Chad and Danielle Rush.

During the business session, it was decided to have the silent auction as well as the two adult and one child door prizes again next year.

The reunion committee for 2008 includes Danielle Rush, Lois Adams, Dotty Freeman, John Edge, Amy Thorn and Dianna Cline. John Edge continues to be the music coordinator. The reunion will be on the second Sunday in September 2008 at 1 p.m.
