Bashford - Arbogast

Paula F. White Arbogast and Edward L. Bashford were married on July 28 in Fairbanks, Alaska, aboard an Alaskan Railroad passenger train locomotive prior to its departure to Anchorage, Alaska. The ceremony was performed by Hild Peters, minister and marriage commissioner of Tie the Knot.





The bride, a former resident of Elkins, is the daughter of Lester E. White of Job and the late Bertha B. White. She is a locomotive engineer employed by Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railway in Alliance, Neb.





The bridegroom is the son of the late Richard E. and Dorothy E. Gifford Bashford. He is a conductor, also employed by BNSF Railway in Alliance, Neb.





The wedding was attended by the crew of the train. Fireman Lordes “Louie” Carey served as maid of honor and conductor George Huling was the best man. Brakeman Ryan Rodriquez took photographs and filmed the ceremony. Also in attendance was engineer Charlie Jones.





The couple resides in Alliance, Neb.
