Brugnoli - Carder

Andrea Lee Carder and Thomas Andrew Brugnoli were married by the Rev. Jim Kelly and Pastor Jason Everson at the St. Marys United Methodist Church in a double-ring ceremony on June 23 in St. Marys.

The bride is the daughter of Carol and William Carder of St. Marys. She is the granddaughter of Mary Gordon of Philippi and the late Gladys Upton, Kenneth Carder and Kenneth Gordon, all of Philippi.

The bridegroom is the son of Lisa and Tom Brugnoli of Beckley. He is the grandson of Leo and Faye Brugnoli and Jim and Gerry Juergens of Richwood.

Guests were greeted and registered by Brandon Berry, friend of the bride, and Bradley Allen, cousin of the bride. The Arte Strings Quartet presented a prelude of songs. Organist Barbara Maston presented organ selections. Vocalist Christina Juergens, aunt of the bridegroom, sang “The Lord’s Prayer” and Jon Everson, an uncle of the bride, gave a Testimonial of Christian Marriage.

The maids of honor were Cynthia Mote and Melissa Carder, both sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Rebecca Troisi, Marcie Prettyman, Macall Allen, Jennifer Garis and Amber Brugnoli-O’Hara. Bethany Mote was a junior bridesmaid. The flower girl was Blakelyn Mote. The bridesmaids wore floor-length, Caribbean blue chiffon dresses, and carried bouquets of lime green and fuchsia flowers.

The best men were Luke Spatafore and Chad Hypes. Groomsmen were Frank Canistraro, Justin Skeens, Anthony Lancianese, Drew Smith, Eric O’Hara and Patrick Huxley. The groom and groomsmen wore chocolate brown tuxedos. The ring bearers were Sam and David Ervin.

The bride’s dress was an Anjolique-designed, crystal-beaded, lace bodice with a mermaid silhouette and ruffled train. She wore handmade salt-water pearl jewelry that was of her own design. Her bouquet was arranged with white hydrangeas and peonies.

The wedding party enjoyed a trolley ride from St. Marys to the Blennerhassett Hotel, where a dessert wedding reception was held in the main ballroom. The four-layer wedding cake was decorated with white chocolate curls and sugar crystals and topped with a silver Swarovski initial “B.”

Pastor Jason Everson, cousin of the bride, held a family wedding breakfast and worship service in the Blennerhassett Tent the following Sunday morning.

The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the bridegroom’s parents, was held on the Valley Gem Sternwheeler the night before the ceremony.

The bride is a graduate of West Virginia University and is employed by Abercrombie & Fitch in Cordova, Tenn., as a store manager. The bridegroom is a graduate of West Virginia University and is a third-year student at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tenn.

After the honeymoon trip to Las Vegas, Nev., and Maui, Hawaii, the newlyweds returned to their residence in Cordova, Tenn.
