Sutherland to Be Deployed

Staff Sgt. Joseph Wayne Sutherland, stationed at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, with the 25th Infantry Division, 2-11 Field Artillery Unit, Stryker Force Combat Team, has been deployed to an undisclosed location in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Sutherland has been deployed twice before to Iraq during Operation Enduring Freedom. He is expected to return in March 2009.

He is married to Kristen E. Sutherland and has a 5-week-old daughter, Cheyenne E. Sutherland, of Waipahu, Hawaii.

He is the son of Roland and Cynthia Sullivan of Elk Creek, Va., and son-in-law of Phyllis Vance of Elkins.
