Coberly Family Reunion

The Inter-Mountain



    The 10th Coberly reunion was hosted on Aug. 4 at the Arbogast Pavilion in Bowden.


    A moment of silence was observed for loved ones who passed away: Richard Johnson, son of Roy and Doris Coberly Johnson; Betty J. Ball Godwin, sister of Sandra Ball Coberly; Opal Coberly, widow of Burley T. Coberly; and a dear friend, Karen Weese Jones.


    Gary Coberly Jr. blessed the food.


    Gifts were awarded to: oldest man, Arlie Humphrey, 71 years old; oldest woman, Ruby Coberly, 81 years old; married most years, Roy and Doris Coberly Johnson, 44 years; most recent marriage, Donald and Angel Davis Howell Jr.; traveled the most miles, Francis and Wilda Coberly Whittington, 275 miles; most family members present, Ruby Coberly, nine members; youngest girl present, 7-year-old Brittany R. Coberly; and youngest boy present, 13-year-old Alex Canfield.


    There were 28 family and friends present including: Gary and Sandy Coberly Sr., Ruby Coberly, Joyce Wickline of Beverly, Harley Coberly of Lost Creek, Francis and Wilda Coberly Whittington, Arlie and Shirley Coberly Humphrey of Maryland, Gary and Tonya Coberly, Roy and Doris Coberly Johnson, Lucille Barb, Bobby and Mary Coberly Hamrick, all of Elkins, Robert and Donna Coberly Landis of Horner, Charles Davis, Donald and Angel Davis Howell Jr., Elizabeth Tincher and Freddie McKineey, all of Buckhannon.
