March 1, 2008
Roxana Lee Bennett of Harman and Willard Lawson Lewis were united in marriage July 7, 2007, by the Rev. Gregory Adamson, cousin of the bride. The double-ring ceremony was at the residence of Angie and Dale Vance, aunt and uncle of the bridegroom, at Beverly.

The bride is the daughter of Judy Bennett of Maryland and Matt Adamson of Harman. She is the granddaughter of Rubert and Margaret Adamson of Harman and Paul and Gertrude Bennett of Maryland.

The bridegroom is the son of Marcie and Johnny Fincham of Adolph and Tim and Kathy Lewis of Beverly. He is the grandson of Mary Lewis of Beverly and the late Willard Lewis, the late Lawson and Opal Lewis, and Pansy Lewis.

The bride was given in marriage by her family and escorted by her grandfather, Rubert Adamson. She wore a diamond white, silk, strapless gown by Kathy. The bodice and ballroom skirt were adorned with seed pearls and crystal beading. The skirt had a slight bustle that fell into a cathedral train. In her hair, she wore a tiara with seed-pearl beading and carried a cascading bouquet of pink astro lilies, lilac roses, carnations, daisies and purple statica intertwined with lilac ribbon and ivy.

Maid of honor, Elizabeth Bennett, sister of the bride, wore a strapless, lilac, full-length gown. She carried a smaller bouquet similar to the bride’s.

Mindy Metheny, friend of the bride, served as a bridesmaid. She wore a halter top lilac gown.

Flower girls, Andrea Bennett, sister of the bride, Morgan Daniels, cousin of the bridegroom, and Lindsey Fincham, sister of the bridegroom, wore tea-length dresses in white, pink and lilac. They scattered flowers from straw baskets decorated with daisies. The girls were all barefoot.

Ring bearer, Brenden Kyle Lewis, son of the couple, wore a black tuxedo with tails, white shirt and bow tie, and carried the rings on a white heart-shaped pillow with lace edging, made by Mary Lewis.

Train bearers, Lance Adamson, cousin of the bride, and Brent Daniels, cousin of the bridegroom, wore tuxedos identical to the ring bearer.

Timothy “Bud” Lewis, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man and Chad Weese, the bridegroom’s best friend, served as bridegroomsman. They also wore tuxedos with lilac vests and matching ties.

A reception was hosted on the lawn at the home of Angie and Dale Vance. Angie Vance hosted and coordinated the event. Christy Kepner was the photographer.
