A Junior man is behind bars at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail after confessing to stealing a truck from Elkins Truck Service, according to Elkins City Police Capt. J.E. Batdorf.

According to the police report, Christopher Dayton Young, 18, stole a 1985 Dodge truck on June 13 and then abandoned the vehicle in at the Shop-N-Save in Parsons. Young was found in Junior and agreed to talk to police about the incident. He then confessed to stealing the truck, according to Batdorf.

Authorities have been searching for the person who stole the truck since June 13. Bartdorf said employees of Elkins Truck Service, the Junior Police Department and Elkins City Police were instrumental in finding Young.
