Joy Marion Snyder and Reace Donald Ragland III were married June 28 at Garth Newel, Warm Springs, Va.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Evans Snyder of Harman. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ragland Jr. of Newport News, Va.
The Rev. Douglas Burgoyne of Richmond, Va., officiated the outdoor ceremony. Readings were given by Kari Anderson Miller, Elizabeth Ragland Bunin, sister of the bridegroom, and Enoch Evans Snyder III, brother of the bride.

Accompanying music was provided by Mr. and Mrs. Christian Hearn on guitar and mandolin. A dinner reception following the ceremony was hosted in Herter Hall at Garth Newel.
The bride is a 1995 graduate of Elkins High School, West Virginia Wesleyan College and the University of Virginia Curry School of Education. She has worked as a math specialist in Charlottesville City Schools and recently taught middle school in Virginia Beach.
The bridegroom is a 1987 graduate of Warwick High School in Newport News, Va., and a graduate of the College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C. He is the owner of MPI Fastech LLC in Virginia Beach where the couple resides.
The couple spent their honeymoon on a camping tour of the southwestern Virginia mountains and hiking the Appalachian Trail.
