Va. Man Dies in Motorcycle Wreck

A 24-year-old Springfield, Va., man was pronounced dead on scene after crashing his motorcycle head on into an embankment on Shenandoah Mountain.
According to the accident report, at 12:17 p.m. Sunday, Sgt. F.H. Barlow of the Franklin detachment of the West Virginia State Police found the body of Brandon A. Bundy lying in the ditch on the northern roadway edge on U.S. 33 east of Brandywine. Bundy had apparently crossed into the westbound lane, police said, where he lost control, ran off the roadway and struck the embankment.
Bundy was pronounced dead at the scene by the West Virginia University Medical Command, according to the report. He was wearing a Department of Transportation-approved helmet as well as other protective gear.
