Danielle Smith and Derek Hopper were married in May in a private ceremony at Virginia Beach, Va.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Kim Gibson of Conway, S.C., and Brad and Diana Smith of Huttonsville. She is a 2008 graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor's degree in accounting and a minor in communication studies.
The bridegroom is the son of Martin and Marsha Barajas of Kansas City, Mo., and Ken and Karen Hopper of Independence, Mo. He is a petty officer third class in the U.S. Navy stationed in Norfolk, Va.
