Three Injured When Truck Slides into Home

By ALEC RADER, Staff Writer
POSTED: December 30, 2008

Three people were flown by helicopter following a wreck around noon Monday on Moral Road in Barbour County.

According to investigating officer Sgt. J.A. Wyatt of the Philippi detachment of the West Virginia State Police, black ice on the roadway caused the driver of a pickup truck to lose control and slide sideways into part of a home.

Part of the building was detached from the foundation; however, the vehicle did not enter the home. The driver and two occupants - whose identities were not released - were the only ones injured, Wyatt said.

The extent of their injuries is unknown.
