John and Vera Hedrick of Hendricks announce the engagement of their daughter, Melyssa Ellen, to Karl Phillip Nilsson, son of Cheri and Jon Wilson of Parsons.
The bride-elect is the granddaugher of the late Delmer and Grace Snyder and Marjorie Hedrick of Stockton, Calif., and the late John Hedrick Sr. She is a student at West Virginia University and will graduate in May with a Bachelor of Science degree in speech pathology and audiology.
Her fiance is the grandson of Janet Thibodeau of Boston, Mass. He is also a student at West Virginia University and is pursuing a degree in chemistry.
