Philip Barbour High School standout Brittini Shriver signed a letter-of-intent on Wednesday to play basketball at Alderson-Broaddus College next season.
"I'm really looking forward to playing for Alderson Broaddus," said Shriver. "It gives me a chance to stay close to home, which allows my family and friends to come watch me play."
Shriver, who was a four-year varsity player for the Lady Colts, averaged 14 points and 9.3 rebounds per game her senior season.
She was named to the Class AA, All-State third team this past season.
"I still have some work to do, but I feel I can really help this team," said Shriver. "Alderson-Broaddus coach (Josh Allen) said I will probably play the three spot."
Philip Barbour coach Tammy Martin agrees. "I think Brittini will step in and contribute for A-B right away," she said. "She is a good player."
Shriver plans to major in psychology and is the daughter of Randy and Tina Shriver of Philippi.
