The Tucker County Chamber of Commerce is working to establish a farmers market tradition in Davis.
According to chamber officials, one or two additional farmers is needed to provide produce. Any small farmers or crafters within range of Davis may apply and the goods must be grown or made by the seller.
At 9 a.m. today, the Stemple Farm from Tera Alta and others will represent the chamber's starting effort. There is no charge to the vendors.
The Stemple's greens are far enough along so there'll be lots of vegetables at Davis Riverwalk including lettuce, bok choi, turnip greens, onions, broccoli, eggs and more.
The market is open from 9 a.m. to noon at 737 William Ave. (the parking lot of Highland Prospects, Hypno Coffee, Friends of the Blackwater Canyon).
