Barbour BOE meets Monday in Philippi

The Barbour County Board of Education will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the board office in Philippi. Items on the agenda include Superintendent Dr. DeEdra Lundeen's 2008-2009 review and a presentation from Kelly Satterfield of the Philip Barbour High School Foundation.

Superintendent's recommendations on the agenda for the board's to consider include: approving Sutter Roofing to repair the roof on the new gymnasium at Philip Barbour High School; approving modifications to Philip Barbour High School Complex, including installing meat room equipment and necessary materials, installing shed building over the sawmill, removing and dismantling greenhouse, installing a new greenhouse and a two-wall enclosure to trap sand from sandblasting for reuse; and approving a QSCB grant contract to replace the old gymnasium roof, the old combined services section roof and the Career-Technical Education Center and annex roof at Philip Barbour High School in the amount of $528,187 with a 25 percent local contribution of $176,063.

Members of the Barbour County Board of Education include President Patrick Jones Vice President Brian Kisamore, David Everson, Brad Robinson and David Strait.
