James and Karen Bialek of Elkins announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ashley DeAnn Bialek, to Christopher Allen Flanagan, son of Gary and Martha Flanagan of Beckley.
The bride-elect is a fourth year doctoral pharmacy student at the University of Charleston School of Pharmacy in Charleston. She is also a 2003 graduate of Elkins High School. She is the granddaughter of Lillian Amy Arbogast of Elkins and the late Luther Arbogast and Stella Bialek and the late Chester Bialek.
Her fiance is a 2005 graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor's degree in petroleum and natural gas engineering and is employed by Chesapeake Energy in Oklahoma City, Okla. He graduated from Elkins High School in 2000. He is the grandson of the late Doyle and Wanda Hardy and Virginia Flanagan of Davis and the late Rudolph Flanagan.
