The children of Elmer K. and Alta C. Cross are celebrating the 60th wedding anniversary of their parents with a "Come & Go" party from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 6 at the Ericcson Alumni Center at Alderson-Broaddus College.
They were married Nov. 29, 1949, in Oakland, Md.
Mr. Cross is the son of the late Stanley and Margie Mouser Cross. He retired from Monongahela Power after 42 1/2 years service.

Mrs. Cross is the daughter of the late Earnest and Dove Lutz Gainer. She is a homemaker.
They are the parents of Vonda and husband, Larry Shingleton, Victor and wife, Kim Cross, the late Karl B. Cross, Joyce and husband, Danny Groover, and Alicia Cross. They have four grandchildren, Aaron Johnson, Carrie Johnson Matthys, Audrey Cross and Jerica Cross, and one step-grandson Eric Shingleton. They also have two great-grandsons and two stepgreat-grandsons Bryson Shingleton, Caleb Matthys, Maddox Johnson and Luke Shingleton.
