Everly E. Spurrier Jr. of Westminster, Md., and Carol Hinkle Dickey of Buckhannon were married on Aug. 1 in a family ceremony at the home of the bride on King School Road. The Rev. Wease Day of Sago Baptist Church officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Pansy Hinkle of Buckhannon and the late Lonnie J. Hinkle. She is employed as a special investigator conducting background investigations of federal applicants.
The bridegroom is the son of Everly E. Spurrier Sr. of Kinksburg, Md., and the late Alice Mae Spurrier and is a retired master plumber.

The bride was escorted by her son, Jeremy McGowan. Katie Dickey, 7, daughter of the bride, was flower girl. Ring bearer was Will Cheek, 2, son of Merrily and Paul Cheek of Buckhannon and grandson of the bride. Bridesmaids were Autumn, 4, and Cayman, 3, daughters of Chrissy and Jake Albright, and granddaughters of the bridegroom.
After the double ring ceremony, the newlyweds left on horseback for a trail ride.
Mr. and Mrs. Spurrier will reside on King School Road.
