63rd anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. George N. Strader Sr. will celebrate their 63rd wedding anniversary on Sept. 7.

George N. Strader Sr. and Edna L. Harrison were married on Sept. 7, 1946, in Frenchton.

Mr. Strader grew up in Wildcat and Mrs. Strader grew up in Cleveland. They resided in Wildcat until 1969 and then moved to the Elkins area. From 1989 until 2004, they wintered in Wymoma, Fla. They are residents of the Chenoweth Creek community.

Mr. Strader was a well-known local businessman and retired in 1989. Mrs. Strader is a homemaker and helped her husband in his work until their retirement.

The Straders have three children, JoAnn Bosley of Mill Creek, George N. Strader Jr. and wife, Paula, of the Chenoweth Creek community and Willard W. Strader, who is deceased. They also have eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
