Burt and Faye Tharp will celebrate their 40th anniversary Sunday.
The couple were married Oct. 4, 1969.
They are the parents of three children, Denise and husband, Bobby Davis, Yancy and wife, Melissa, all of Beverly and Sarina Tharp of Pickens.
