Metz facing multiple charges; court date set for Feb. 11

Lewis County Circuit Court Judge Thomas Keadle raised a Weston man's bond to $50,000 during his arraignment Friday after learning he is facing a multitude of charges unrelated to those the grand jury indicted him on earlier this week.

Eric J. Metz, 39, remains lodged in the Central Regional Jail as he awaits a Feb. 11 trial on charges that include armed robbery, malicious wounding, conspiracy, burglary and petit larceny.

Metz has also been charged with conspiracy to commit attempted murder, in which it is alleged he tried to convince someone to kill the victim in the armed robbery case he is facing. That case has not been presented to the grand jury.

Keadle set Metz' trial to coincide with an earlier one already scheduled for him in February. Jury selection for his trial will be at 9 a.m. Feb. 9.

In other arraignments, Keadle set a Feb. 12 trial date for an Ireland woman facing 55 misdemeanor charges of cruelty to animals. Pamela Jean Blubaugh, 48, was released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.

Charles T. Marsh, 49, of Weston, will stand trial Feb. 23 on charges of forgery and uttering. He was released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.

Joshua Gregory, no age or address available, will stand trial Feb. 24 on charges of delivery of a controlled substance and conspiracy. He was released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.

Brittany D. Craig, no age or address available, had her trial scheduled for Feb. 25 on charges of conspiracy, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and seven counts of delivery of a controlled substance. She has posted a $30,000 surety bond.

Patricia Ann Fast, 49, of Jane Lew, had her trial scheduled for Feb. 26 on a third offense, domestic battery charge. She was released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.

Carl Raymond Anderson Jr., 32, of Weston, will stand trial on charges of grand larceny and conspiracy on Feb. 12. He has posted a $7,500 surety bond.

Natalie R. Frashure, no age or address available, wil stand trial on charges of grand larceny and conspiracy on Feb. 23. She was released on a $1,500 surety bond and a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

Kristopher A. Speas, 27, of Weston, will stand trial on Feb. 24 on charges of grand larceny and conspiracy. He is currently serving a sentence on an unrelated charge, and Keadle set bond at $10,000 should the sentence end prior to Speas' trial.

Christopher L. Eakle, 27, of Clarksburg, will stand trial Feb. 25 on charges of entering without breaking, attempted grand larceny, grand larceny and conspiracy. He is currently serving a sentence out of Harrison County, and Keadle set bond at $10,000 should he finish his sentence prior to trial.

April Payne, 25, of Lost Creek, will stand trial Feb. 26 on charges of being an accessory after the fact to entering without breaking, being an accessory after the fact to attempted grand larceny, being an accessory after the fact to grand larceny and for conspiracy.

Payne posted a $1,000 surety bond in addition to a $9,000 personal recognizance bond.

Patricia L. Stemple, 22, of Weston, will stand trial Feb. 12 on charges of conspiracy, aiding and abetting grand larceny, aiding and abetting attempted grand larceny, and aiding and abetting entering without breaking. She has posted a $10,000 surety bond.

Jedadiah Stump, 22, of Hacker Valley, will stand trial Feb. 23 on charges of being an accessory before the fact to grand larceny and for conspiracy. He was released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.

Matthew C. Painter, 21, of Rock Cave, will stand trial Feb. 24 on charges of grand larceny and conspiracy. He was released on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond.

Larry A. Jones, 51, of Weston, will stand trial Feb. 25 on misdemeanor and felony charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was released on a $2,500 personal recognizance bond.

Michael Munro, 43, of Weston, will stand trial Feb. 26 on charges of third offense domestic battery and unlawful wounding. His bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety.

Robin Pumphrey, 51, of Orlando, will stand trial on Feb. 10 on 17 charges of forgery and uttering. She was released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.

Randal L. McVay, no age or address available, had his trial set for Feb. 11 on charges of manufacturing a controlled substance, conspiracy and aiding and abetting burglary. He has posted a $1,000 surety bond, and Keadle set a $10,000 personal recognizance bond in the case.

Brenda Metz, no age or address available, remains in custody in lieu of a $20,000 surety bond. She will stand trial Feb. 12 on charges of conspiracy, manufacturing a controlled substance and delivery of a controlled substance.

James J. Posey, 35, of Orlando, will stand trial Feb. 23 on a breaking and entering charge. He was released on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond.

Joshua Butcher, no age or address available, will stand trial Feb. 24 on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, and conspiracy. He is being held in the regional jail until he posts a $10,000 cash or surety bond.

Lindsay B. Hamon, no age or address available, is being held in the regional jail until she can post a $10,000 cash or surety bond. Her trial on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, and conspiracy was set for Feb. 25.

Brenda Sue Nicholson, no age or address available, will face charges of delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver at her Feb. 26 trial. She has posted a $35,000 surety bond.
