Elva "Tiny" Fulton Thompson, 65, a resident of Parsons, departed this life Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, in Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown. She had been in declining health for the past two years.
She was born Monday, Dec. 13, 1943, at Red House, Md., a daughter of the late Murl and Hazel Lipscomb Fulton.
On Aug. 21, 1961, at Oakland, Md., she was married to Glen Jason "Buck" Thompson, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Jason Kid Thompson, William "Willy" Thompson and companion, Crystal Petrice, and Jeffery Thompson, all of Parsons; one daughter, Mary Griffith and husband, Michael, of Hambleton; one brother, Robert Fulton and wife, Alma Fulton, of Hendricks; two grandchildren, Sarah Griffith and companion, Adam Harper, of Hendricks and Eric Griffith of Hambleton; one great-granddaughter, Savannah Harper; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were three brothers, Curtis, Howard and Edward Fulton.
She attended the schools of Tucker County. She was a homemaker, a member of the Pentecostal Outreach Ministry Church in Parsons and a devoted Christian. She was a loving mother and wife.
The family will receive friends at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons today from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Emery Surguy will officiate and interment will follow in Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman.
