Crisp - Carr

Sheri Lynn Carr and Cameron Ashely Crisp were married Oct. 17 on the grounds at River Church of Christ in the Mount Nebo area. The ceremony was performed by Bob Crawford of Ohio and Jim Wise of Elkins.

The bride is the daughter of Roy C. Carr and Sharon Carr of Buckhannon. She is the granddaughter of Mary Ellen Carr of Buckhannon and the late Alfred Carr and the late Milford and Edna Holbert.

The bridegroom is the son of Ronald Crisp and the stepson of Peggy Crisp of Everetts, N.C., and son of Gail Crisp of Stokes, N.C. He is the grandson of Maddie Fae Bullock of Pactolus, N.C., and the late James Hazel Bullock and the late Johnny and Estelle Crisp.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and was escorted by her father. She wore a satin white and gold A-line dress with a lace up back with bow and a cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of fall flowers and leaves.

Serving in the wedding were children of friends and family and the children of the bridegroom. Murphy and Paige Crisp carried the rings. Flower girl Jansen Kimble, daughter of JB and Megan Kimble, was escorted by Landon Carr, son of Phillip and Eva Carr of Buckhannon. Flower girl Madison Wamsley, daughter of Amy and Jerry Wamsley of Buckhannon, and flower girls Mackenzie Carr, daughter of Phillip and Eva Carr, were both escorted by Riley Carr, son of Phillip and Eva Carr. Flower girl Maya Bender was escorted by her brother, Jaden Bender, both children of Theresa Bender of Belington. Flower girl Mikinna Poling, daughter of Mathew and Mateal Poling of Buckhannon, was escorted by Luke Carr, son of Kevin and Lori Carr of Charlotte, N.C.

Mikenzie Poling and Clarissa Linger served as hostesses for the register book and programs. Ronnie and Doretta Holbert assisted with cooking of the soup. The Food Preparation Class and Christie Lybarger at Buckhannon-Upshur High School served the prepared food dressed in all white chefs' attire. They also prepared more than 500 candied apples for the wedding. The wedding was filmed by Dave Everson and was photographed by Julia Conley and Bridgette Tenney, both teachers at Buckhannon-Upshur High School, and Debra Ann Brabazon of Michigan.

The cake featured a fall theme of leaves with reds and oranges made by Shanah Carpenter. The bridegroom's cake was a whimsical Smokey Bear theme by Tanya Markley. Art signs were made by Buckhannon-Upshur High School art class led by Julia Conley and Karen Brown.

There were many others who assisted in putting up tents, cooking, arranging, decorating and cleaning up that day.

The couple honeymooned in Wyoming and Montana visiting Jackson Hole, the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone National Park, Bozeman, Missoula, Kalispell and Glacier National Park. They now reside on Tallmansville Road in Buckhannon.
