Grace Elizabeth Atkinson and Derrick Keith Nelson were married Sept. 19 at the Presbyterian Church in Beverly, Ohio. The double-ring ceremony was performed by Pastor Tom O'Conner.

The bride is the daughter of John and Vickie Atkinson of Beverly, Ohio. She is the granddaughter of Martha Atkinson of Beverly, Ohio, and the late Carl Atkinson and Dallard "Woody" and Anna Mae Woodruff of Lowell, Ohio.

The bridegroom is the son of Tammy McFarlan of Harman. He is the grandson of Norm Arbogast of Harman and the late Nettie Arbogast, who raised him, and Carney "Bubby" and Freda Ratliff of Cannan Valley.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father. She wore a white, strapless A-line gown with a lace-up back. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of yellow and white gerber daisies.

Serving as matron of honor was Emily Simms, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kaylee Walters, cousin of the bride, and Cassie McFarlan, sister of the bridegroom. The bride's attendants wore buttercup, knee-length chiffon and satin dresses. They carried hand-tied bouquets of white gerber daisies.

Serving as best man was Scott McDonald, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Mike Arbogast, uncle of the bridegroom, and Justin Mullennex, friend of the bridegroom. Ring bearer was Wade McDonald, nephew of the bridegroom.

The organist was Becky Wright of Marietta, Ohio. Guestbook and program attendant was Kaylee Craig, cousin of the bride. Christy Combs served as wedding photographer.

Following the ceremony, a reception was hosted at the church fellowship hall. The four-tier wedding cake was made by Village Cakery.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Fort Frye High School and a 2004 graduate of Marietta College with a bachelor's degree in graphic design. She is employed by CMI, in Franklin as a shop technician.

The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Harman High School. He is employed by CMI in Franklin as a shop technician and sales representative.

Following a honeymoon to Snowshoe and Cass, the couple resides in Seneca Rocks.
