Jennifer Kay Arey and Michael Wright Paschke were married Aug. 8 in an outdoor ceremony in the front gardens of Historic Long Branch Estate in Winchester, Va. Pastor Ed Lowther of Buckhannon performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Mary Kay Arey of Buckhannon. She is the granddaughter of Ethel Johnston of Holly Grove and the late Johnnie Johnston and the late Ed and Goldie Arey. She graduated magna cum laude from West Virginia University with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education and attained a master's degree in instruction technology from Troy State University. She is employed by Frederick County Schools in Winchester, Va., as an instructional technology resource teacher.
The bridegroom is the son of Nancy and David Kelly of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Jack Paschke of Pittsburgh, Pa. He is the grandson of the late John and Betty Lou Paschke and the late Anthony and Virginia Meutz. He is a graduate of Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, Pa. He received a bachelor of arts degree and a master of science degree in teaching from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, N.Y. He is employed by the Frederick County Schools in Winchester, Va., as a middle school art teacher.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a white satin strapless gown with a chiffon split-front overlay. The gown featured a beaded embroidered bodice and a full-length A-line skirt with beaded metallic embroidery on the chapel-length train. She wore a chin-length veil and a crystal beaded hair accent. She carried a bouquet of deep red roses, calla lilies and gerber daisies.
Serving as maid of honor was lifelong friend Amanda Weaver of Leesburg, Va., and matron of honor was lifelong friend Lora Morgan of Lewisburg. They wore knee-length black chiffon dresses and carried bouquets of fuchsia pink Gerber daisies. The junior bridesmaid was Breanna Brown, niece of the bride, of Buckhannon. She wore a fuchsia pink knee-length dress and carried a bouquet of pink Gerber daisies.
Best friend of the bridegroom, Matthew Wygal, of Winchester, Va., served as best man and Martry Julias, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, of Philadelphia, Pa., served as groomsman. The groomsmen wore black tuxedos.
A formal dinner and dance reception followed the ceremony at the Holiday Inn Historic Gateway in Winchester, Va. Guests were greeted by friend and roommate of the bride, Lynel Seigh of Winchester, Va. The three-tier white wedding cake was decorated with white icing flowers and fresh dark pink roses. After dinner, guests were treated to a "cookie table," a beautiful display of homemade cookies and candy from the bride and bridegroom's family.
After a cruise to the Caribbean, the couple resides in Winchester, Va.
