Mr. and Mrs. Rich Thompson of Elkins announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ashley Layne Thompson, to John Paul Griffiths II of Dallas, Texas.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Herman and Fay Thompson and Johanna Nelson of Elkins and the late Earl Nelson. She is a 2003 graduate of Elkins High School and a 2006 graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology. In May she will graduate from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry as a doctor of dental surgery.
Her fiance is the son of Dr. and Mrs. John Griffiths of Chandler, Texas. He is a 2006 graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology. He will graduate in May from Parker College of Chiropractic as a doctor of chiropractic.
