HOUSE FIRE — At approximately 4:12 a.m. Sunday a fire at an unoccupied rental house, located at 108 Graham St. in Elkins, destroyed the structure and caused damage to a home and a two-unit apartment building, located at both sides of the blaze. The West Virginia Fire Marshal’s office and the Elkins Fire Department are investigating the cause of the blaze, Elkins Fire Chief Tom Meader said. The home where the fire began is owned by Roger Fussell, according to Meader. Beverly, Leading Creek and Belington fire departments assisted Elkins at the scene for three hours. It took about an hour to bring the fire under control. Damage to 106 Graham St. was limited to the attic area and inside walls, while the apartment building sustained damage to the exterior, Meader said. No one was injured during the fire.
