Mr. and Mrs. Donald Griffith celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 5.
They were married July 5, 1960, at the Elkins Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Bill Angel officiating. Their attendants were the late Charles Keller, cousin of the bridegroom, and Patty Crissman, sister of the bride.
Mr. Griffith is the son of the late Charles and Marie Griffith. He attended school in Elkins. He served in the Korean War for which he received a Purple Heart. He worked at Ford Motor Co. in Lorain, Ohio, for 38 years. After returning to Elkins, he worked part time at Super Car Wash, Colonial Mills and Kroger.

Mrs. Griffith is the former Dena Smith, daughter of Phil Smith and the late Georgia Smith. She is a 1959 graduate of Elkins High School. She also owned and operated her own ceramic business in Lorain, Ohio, for many years.
They have one daughter, Marsha, of Beverly.
The couple are active members of the Elkins Church of the Nazarene.
A celebration party hosted by their daughter is planned for 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 7 in the Family Life Center at the Elkins Church of the Nazarene in Gilman.
