The children of Donald and Linda Parsons will host an open house in celebration of their parents' 50th wedding anniversary from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 21 at the Rock Cave Baptist Church in Rock Cave.
The couple were married Aug. 26, 1960, at the Moundsville Baptist Church in Moundsville. They moved to Buckhannon in 1961 and stayed to raise their family.
The couple have three children, Rhonda (Shane) Shockey of French Creek, Doug (Diane) Parsons of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Wayne (Crystal) Parsons of French Creek, and nine grandchildren. Their oldest son, Donnie, is deceased.

The family requests help in compiling a book which recalls memories from the couple's first 50 years of marriage. Those attending are asked to write a memory or experience they shared with the couple.
