Students from Highland Adventist School recently took a field trip to Washington, D.C. The group visited several museums and historical sites to enrich their study of science and social studies.
"We visited several of the Smithsonian museums, toured the Capitol building, saw money being printed at the Bureau of Printing and Engraving, rode the subway and ate at Union Station," said Cheryl Jacko, principal.
"The visit that made the biggest impression on most of our students, however, was our tour of the U.S. Holocaust Museum. The students were really sobered by the photos and information they learned about the Holocaust," Jacko said.
