Voices from the Earth to feature story-telling in honor of MLK Jr.

Voices from the Earth will be presenting two storytelling programs based on respect in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his work for peace and understanding.

Storyteller Ilene Evans will be telling stories that educators build school communities who honor respect, tolerance and diversity at Yough-glades Elementary in Oakland, Maryland, on Thursday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Baba Jamal Koram will return to Davis Thomas Elementary Middle School on Friday at 1:15 p.m.

The theme is acceptance of diversity.

These character education programs are sponsored by the local LSIC and Schoolwide Social Skill Project and Voices From the Earth Inc. Programs are free and open to the public. For information, call 304-463-4561 or e-mail info@vfte.org.
