Get the perfect fit

Design Studio helps brides tailor their dream dresses

Design Studio owner Elizabeth McNeamar has been helping brides find the perfect fit for more than three decades.

After working closely at Che'Bella for many years, McNeamar and her husband, Charles, opened their own store at 310 S. Randolph Ave. in Elkins in June beside the boutique. She is a licensed custom clothier and has more than 35 years experience making clothing.

"I do anything that has to do with sewing," McNeamar said. "I do alterations and custom dress making. Because I work along with Che'Bella, it was a good idea locating beside each other. If someone goes to her shop and buys a gown, they can come next door and get their alterations. Or if they want a custom gown made, I can do that."

Using a wide range of fabrics and designs, McNeamar has a passion for creating custom clothing. Aside from the wedding gowns, she also has created her own clothing line that is sold exclusively at Che'Bella.

"I find my work very exciting," McNeamar said. "I really like putting the designs together and being able to coordinate fabrics. I take one idea and make it work. It gets really good feedback. Most people said it's even better than what they imagined it would be. They get very excited over it."

Design Studio also offers a wide range of fabrics from simple chambray to Italian silk dupioni.

"If someone wants a gown made, all they have to do is give us a call," McNeamar said. "We can do whatever the customer wants. We can do anything from simple to elegant, with lots of bling. I've even been asked to do camouflage gowns.
