Orlena United Methodist Church, located at 1423 S. Henry Drive in Elkins, will open its doors for a morning of Christian music on Sunday. Beginning at 11 a.m., The Dominion Quartet will bring its enriching blend of vintage quartet music, offering a dynamic performance of Southern Gospel music.
Members of the current group hail from West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky. Stacey Akers, owner of the group, is the tenor, with his son, Jordan Akers, singing baritone. Kurtis Morgan adds his lead voice. Rounding out the quartet is Rick Grey, singing bass.
These members have answered the call to reach the lost and bring the message of salvation to those who will listen, a spokesperson said.
The Dominion Quartet will perform at Orlena United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. Sunday. The church is located at 1423 S. Henry Drive in?Elkins.
Admitting their ministry is not easy, they rely on a strong commitment from their families and much prayer to continue their delivery of Southern Gospel music across the country.
They believe their music is much more than entertainment; it is a ministry to which they are devoted because a song could change a life forever.
The concert is open to everyone. There is no admission charge; however, a love offering will be taken.
