Don and Shirley Myers of Elkins celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 4.
They have been residents of Elkins since Mr. Myers' retirement of 21 years in the U.S. Army.
After his retirement from the military, he went on to manage several businesses in the Elkins area.

Mrs. Myers retired from the Randolph County school system as a head cook. They have three children, Donna Workman of Elkins, Don Jr. and Heather Myers of Elizabeth and Tammi and Mark Weaver of Circleville, Ohio. They have eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
They are members of the Refugee Church and enjoy doing activities there as well as spending time with their family.
