The local community is invited to a Thirty One bingo fundraiser event to benefit Youth Health Service.
Debbie Ware, director of Thirty One Gifts, is sponsoring a Thirty One bingo event April 2 at American Legion on Railroad Avenue in Elkins.
Doors will open at 1 p.m. and bingo games will begin at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 and 20 games of bingo will be played.
In addition, there will be a Chinese auction, 50/50 drawing, door prizes and light refreshments.
According Ware, "Thirty One products will be given away as prizes. The totes and purses are colorful, useful and well made. Thirty One is new to the area, so we're hoping to show off the products as well as provide a fun event that will benefit a great program."
Proceeds will be used to cover some of the rising costs of the YHS transportation services for children enrolled in YHS' behavioral health program and in Home Ties Child Care program.
Home Ties Child Care Center Director Denise Fletcher said, "Youth Health Service was fortunate enough to receive grant funding to purchase a 14 passenger mini bus for safe transportation of children enrolled in the child care and behavioral health programs. Funds raised through this event will help cover the costs of operating this mini bus. The bus will be used for educational field trips and to transport children back and forth to services, school and home."
Youth Health Service, a private nonprofit agency serves more than 600 children and their families each year in Randolph and the surrounding communities. YHS transportation services provide an average of 400 passenger trips a month for children enrolled in YHS programs.
"We are fortunate to have great community support for our programs. We are especially grateful to Debbie Ware for her sponsorship of this fundraiser. This will be a fun event and supports a very good cause," YHS Executive Director Margy Burns said.
There are only a limited number of tickets printed.
