Historians discuss growth within South Branch Valley

Historians from Hardy, Grant and Pendleton counties will present information on the cultural growth of the South Branch Valley through discussion, followed by question and answer sessions. Emphasis will be on certain aspects of photography, church music, crafts and paintings of the early settlers.

The event will be at 7 p.m. April 14 at the Landes Art Center, 18 Mt. View Street, Petersburg.

These discussions will be led by Lucy West of Hardy County, Harold Garber of Grant County and Richard Ruddle of Pendleton County. Those interested in the history of the South Branch Valley are invited to attend. Admission is a donation.

This event is presented by the Grant County Arts Council Inc. and community sponsors Mr. and Mrs. Roger Foley and South Branch Valley Liquidators.
