David and Teri Detrick of Ridgeley announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lara Ann Detrick, to Eric Lee Phillips, son of Evalee Phillips of Elkins and Douglas Phillips of Mabie.
The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Frankfort High School and a 2007 graduate of West Virginia University. She is employed as teacher by the Hampshire County Board of Education. She is the granddaughter of the late Charles and Annabelle Butler and the late Leo and Ann Detrick.
Her fiance is a 1995 graduate of Elkins High School and a 1999 graduate of Davis & Elkins College. He is employed as a state hearing officer for the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. He is the grandson of Lurenis Thompson of Elkins and the late Waitman G. Thompson and Virginia Zirkle of Mabie and the late Donald Phillips.
